Since 2000, the company’s main business partner is The Philodrill Corporation who is presently the DOE-designated field Operator and head of the Service Contract 14 consortium, composed of Nido Petroleum, Forum Energy, Oriental Petroleum and Basic Petroleum. They also have participating interests, acting as non-operating service contractors, in the Galoc, Bonita and Octon off shore oil fields all located in north western Palawan, Philippines.
Global Gas has, for almost twenty years, been handling the marine requirements of The Philodrill for the off shore operations in the Philippines, sub-contracted solely for the purpose of providing oil tankers, oil barges and supply & tugboats for use in the off-take and delivery of their crude oil produced in 2 offshore oil fields.
In early 2000, the SC14 Field Operator secured the services of Global Gas to assist them search for a buyer for their crude oil, produced at their offshore oil fields located in Service Contract 14 (SC14) at North Western Palawan, namely the Nido and the Matinloc Fields. These 2 oil fields are about 30 KM apart and lie about 30KM from the shores of El Nido town, Palawan, about 40KM southeast of Shell’s Malampaya Gas Project, about 60KM south of the oil-producing Galoc oil field and about 220 KM from Batangas. Global Gas’ core business is in the off-take and transport of the crude produced in the two (2) oil fields to Shell Philippines, the crude oil buyer who has been purchasing from The Philodrill for many years.
